Elena Chiavegato was born in Milan to Italian father and Japanese mother.
Having started playing the piano at the tender age of three, at ten she was admitted to the Milan Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi”, securing the first position and at seventeen graduated with full marks, cum laude and special honors under the expert guidance of Edda Ponti and Silvia Limongelli. As the recipient of a scholarship bestowed by the International Music Academy of Cagliari and having successfully navigated the selection process at the esteemed Cité internationale des Arts in Paris — an institution jointly sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture and the City of Paris — she embarked on the Cycle de Perfectionnement at the renowned École Normale de Musique of Paris “Alfred Cortot” under the tutelage of Jean-Marc Luisada, who has been her primary mentor and a fundamental point of reference in her musical journey ever since. She also achieved a Master degree with excellence at the Escola Superior de Música of Catalonia in Barcelona with Pierre Reach, specializing in the Spanish repertoire in the fine tradition of Alicia de Larrocha at the Academia Granados-Marshall. Subsequently, she was admitted to the artistic project “Daedalus - the young artist” in Florence, founded by Alexander Lonquich.
Winner of more than 20 FIRST PRIZES in both national and international competitions, as well as the "Giulio Forziati Prize" as the best graduate, the "Milan Woman Award" as the brightest talent of the year, and the prestigious “Prix de la Maison de la Culture du Japon” in Paris.
Elena marked her public debut at only 10 years old, gracing the stage of Milan’s Teatro dal Verme to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth, in partnership with I Pomeriggi Musicali and La Società del Quartetto.
In the area of chamber music, she formed a Trio in collaboration with members of the Rai National Symphony Orchestra. More recently, she inaugurated a fascinating Lieder Duo with soprano Barbara Massaro.
Elena has a great passion for the visual arts, so she enthusiastically devotes herself to exploring museums and exhibitions, as well as traveling the world to immerse herself in different cultures. Motivated by this fervent curiosity, she has pursued a Master's degree program in "Science of Music and Performing Arts" at the University of Milan.
Fluent in 8 languages (Italian, Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Catalan, German and Chinese), Elena leads a parallel life in the business world. Amidst the challenges posed by Covid-19, she actively contributed as a team member of mfClassrooms, a startup of virtual classrooms for individual music lessons.
Since 2021, she has been working at the British multinational company PwC - TLS Professional Association of Lawyers and Accountants as Specialist of Sales and Marketing for the Japanese Business Network and currently at Vialto Partners, the largest and independent American company specialized in Global Mobility (formerly known as PwC-Global Mobility Tax and Immigration Services) as Immigration Specialist & Japan Business Practice EMEA.
In addition, she serves as Artistic Advisor and member of the Advocacy Team for Young Women Network, a feminist association of young professionals dedicated to women's empowerment.
